Time Management for PhD Candidates
# Work Organization & Project Management
Course Description
Research, teaching, publications, and administrative duties – the daily lives of researchers are shaped by a wide range of demands that often require simultaneous attention. Despite intensive workdays, many are left with the feeling that there is too little time for what truly matters: their own research projects, strategic goals, or personal recovery. In this workshop, you will learn how to manage your time more efficiently and set clear priorities to master your diverse tasks with confidence. We will develop strategies to help you advance long-term projects – such as completing publications, grant applications, or research projects – in a structured way, ensuring that short-term obligations do not constantly interfere. Through practical exercises, you will develop a self-management system tailored to your individual situation and career stage, enabling you to work more productively, create realistic schedules, and prevent burnout.
