Online workshop »The basics of Quantum Computing«

Quantum mechanics provides the basis for a new paradigm of computing. In the 1990s, Shor's algorithm demonstrated the theoretical power of quantum computers (QC) by exponentially accelerating integer factorization. Recently, quantum hardware has been making great progress, and we need to learn how to leverage quantum advantage.

In this course, you will learn the basics and the most important algorithms of QC.

The Competence Center Quantum-High Performance Computing and -Algorithms for the Industry (QHAI) at the Fraunhofer ITWM is organizing a training series with the aim to give a basic introduction to QC for researchers and PhD students who are interested in the subject or want to start working in the field. No previous background in quantum mechanics or QC is required.
