Growing demands on supply security, risk management, and crisis management mean that drinking water supply systems must become more comprehensive, resilient, and flexible. At the conference, practical presentations will showcase innovative solutions to current challenges.

Fraunhofer ITWM offers this three-day seminar about once a year. The event is aimed at computational engineers and test engineers, among others.

Special statistical methods are required to statistically verify the reliability of components. In this compact seminar, you will acquire the necessary knowledge to confidently answer key questions about component reliability.

The conference on trends and developments in the commercial vehicle industry will take place at the RPTU campus. It will feature specialist presentations and poster presentations and will be accompanied by a trade exhibition.

The aim of the seminar is to teach fundamental methods, procedures, and techniques from the fields of data analysis and machine learning and to use selected examples to show how these can improve the vehicle development process.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans Hasse, who heads the Chair of Thermodynamics at the RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau, is retiring. To mark the occasion, a special academic colloquium will be held, focusing on the current challenges and future prospects of the discipline.

For the first time, Kaiserslautern hosts an international pitch format organized by the Falling Walls Foundation, in which early-career professionals present scientific breakthroughs and innovative ideas to a jury of experts. You gain visibility and presentation skills, expand your network, and bring your research out of the ivory tower. The winner will represent Rhineland-Palatinate in the final in Berlin. 

At the Energy High Performance Computing and AI Conference at Rice University in Houston, experts from the energy industry, IT, and research are coming together to advance HPC and AI in the energy sector. A team from Fraunhofer ITWM is on site to present four projects: DLseis, Carme, STX, and NASE.

Workshop »Gaming, Gamification & Serious Games«: For anyone who wants to discover game-based approaches, innovative learning formats, and new forms of interaction – no prior knowledge required. Practical, interactive, with real-life examples and open discussion. Followed by questions, discussions, and networking. The 5th IAVSD Symposium »Tyre Models for Vehicle Dynamics Analysis« takes place on March 25 and 26, 2026, in Kaiserslautern and will be hosted by Fraunhofer ITWM. The topics covered at this international event range from mechanical modeling, friction/adhesion, and tire-road interaction to NVH, temperature/abrasion, energy losses, and real-time applications (HIL/SIL/DIL).

»E-world Energy and Water« is the leading trade fair for the European energy industry. The Fraunhofer ITWM team presents the latest developments in digital twins, which enable precise analyses, forecasts, and controls.The key topics are »energy producers and distributors« and »consumers and markets.«
