Continuing Education

The High Performance Center offers a broad training program for business and science in the areas of technology, management and soft skills. Currently, for example, events are being held on the topics of software engineering, digital commercial vehicle technology and Deep Learning. Further training courses on the topics of Industry 4.0 and system and process simulation are also planned.

Established Continuing Education Series

The well-established seminar series »Software Engineering« was modularly under the leadership of Fraunhofer IESE, and we are continuously adapting it to current needs.

The annual industry seminars »Load Data - Analysis, Design, and Simulation« and »Statistical Methods in Fatigue Strength« have become an equally well-known continuing education program for industry in the area of digital commercial vehicle technologies. These three-day events were each attended by an average of around 40 participants from industry.

Furthermore, we offer the distance learning course »Software Engineering for Embedded Systems« together with the Distance and Independent Studies Center (DISC) at the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau. The distance learning program is aimed at professionals working in software development who want to acquire advanced knowledge of new technologies and deepen their software engineering skills by pursuing a master's degree in this field. The program is aimed at graduates with an engineering degree or an IT degree, as well as mathematics and physics graduates with at least two years of professional experience in software development.

Goals:

  • Counteracting the shortage of skilled workers by intensifying continuing education offerings
  • Further training of industrial specialists through corporate learning
  • Develop joint continuing education infrastructure at the site
