Academic Colloquium in Honour of the Retirement of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans Hasse / September 25, 2026, 10:00 bis 22:00 Uhr
»The Future of Thermodynamics«
Without an understanding of thermodynamics, the technological progress that we take for granted would be unthinkable: the conversion of energy forms, the functioning of engines, the transformation of matter – all of this is described and made usable by the laws of thermodynamics.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans Hasse, Head of the Chair of Thermodynamics at the RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau, has made a significant contribution over decades to expanding this understanding through his research and passing it on to his students. For many years, he has helped shape the development of thermodynamics and inspired generations of students and scientists. He has broken down barriers: between disciplines, between industry and academia, and between micro- and macro-scales.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans Hasse is now retiring. To mark this occasion, we cordially invite you to a celebratory scientific colloquium entitled»The Future of Thermodynamics«, which will address the current challenges and future prospects of the field.
