Course Description
The transition from academia to the private sector is an important step. This basic training course will help you search for job offers efficiently and develop compelling application documents. The first part of the seminar will introduce typical skills acquired through doctoral studies, as well as suitable job profiles that may be of interest to you, and show you how to develop further job ideas for yourself. In a self-study course, you will explore active and passive search options, receive specific website recommendations, and use them to create an individual work plan. A video course teaches you the basics of creating and customizing application documents. In the concluding live webinars, you will learn how to interpret job advertisements correctly, assess your chances of success, and receive feedback on your draft resume.
Course Goals
Participants identify typical promotional skills, learn about suitable job profiles, and develop concrete job ideas. They acquire basic knowledge on how to create and tailor application documents to specific target groups, as well as skills for realistically assessing their application chances and optimizing their résumé in a targeted manner.
