Its focus is on AI in the network, including digital twins, 3D networks with drones/NTN, »Made in Europe« modems, and autonomous subnetworks. OpenLabs and industry sponsors ensure the transfer.

The RPTU's »MAMBO#5« research project supports SMEs in their transition to digital production. The aim is to achieve modular, manufacturer-independent automation that gradually optimizes existing systems, reduces the workload on skilled workers, and increases productivity. 

In the »SustainChain« project, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Fraunhofer IESE, Friends of Digital Farming, and DLG support SMEs in the agricultural and food sector in digitally implementing sustainability requirements and participating in data rooms. At its core is a practical guide with a reference model (RDS) as a »roadmap« for systems, data flows, and standards.
