The working groups of Professor Gerd Ascheid (Chair for Integrated Signal Processing Systems, ISS) and Professor Rainer Leupers (Chair for Software for Systems on Silicon, SSS) from the Institute of Communication Technologies and Embedded Systems (ICE) at RWTH Aachen University visited the High Performance Center Simulation and Software Based Innovation in Kaiserslautern on Friday, May 25, 2018.
The focus of the meeting was the scientific exchange on the latest state of the art in the field of embedded systems. The discussions focused on design methodologies, formal methods, simulation methods for hardware and software, hardware architectures for machine learning, communication and storage systems.
Professor Wolfgang Kunz (Chair of Electronic Design Automation, TU Kaiserslautern), Apl.-Professor Dominik Stoffel (Chair of Electronic Design Automation, TU Kaiserslautern), Professor Norbert Wehn (Chair Microelectronic Systems Design (EMS), TU Kaiserslautern) and Dr. Matthias Jung (Fraunhofer IESE) were involved.
